We all must do better when it comes to building a system that includes, supports and values diversity and inclusion. The Albany Business Review is no exception.
We have spent the past year discussing how to take more meaningful action. Part of that work has been listening. And we are grateful to members of an advisory committee who provided important feedback.
From those conversations has grown our newest initiative: A recognition of the region’s Leaders in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
We still have a long way to go — recent events have been a stark reminder of that. But these are the people and companies doing the work. We can all learn from them.
For their help with this initiative, we are recognizing three leaders from the advisory committee as Community Connectors.
