Assistant Project Manager

Siara was born and raised in the South Bronx. She started her career journey in New York City at 19 years of age with the company SONY working as a technology guide. She then moved to Upstate NYS in 2013 after studying at LaGuardia Community College in Queens. She began her career in higher education at Hudson Valley Community College where she moved up in the ranks over the years assisting with student success, to an Operations Assistant at Excelsior University supporting faculty, leadership, and staff as she studied for her undergraduate degree in business from the institution. Later moved on to be a Business Analyst at the Fortune 500 Company Goldman Sachs working closely with their 1% clientele. There she developed an enjoyment for organizing chaos, solving complex problems, and working on projects with various stakeholders.

Siara takes on the role of Project Manager for the Workforce Development Institute leading software development teams, vendors, and partners on numerous workforce initiatives to further support Upstate New York’s workforce. She has accumulated over 16+ years of workforce experience and expertise in various industry sectors such as corporate, higher education, and the nonprofit arena. Siara was the recipient of the 2022 Catalysts for Change Leadership Program Certificate of Achievement given by the Community Foundation of the Greater Capital Region.

Siara completed the Women’s Entrepreneurship Certificate Program at Cornell University. Siara takes great pride in serving our community. She is a dedicated mentor and advocate for 518 ElevatED Scholars and Co-lead chair of the Catalysts for Change Alumni Committee through the Community Foundation. She also serves as an active member of the New York Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Capital Region Professional Women of Color, and Black and Latino 2023 Adult Achiever through the Capital Region YMCA. In 2024 she received the 40 under 40 Albany Business Review 2024 Honoree and Saint of the Month received from the Capital Region YMCA. Siara greatly enjoys gardening, hiking trails, reading, and spending time with her family, friends, and her little black tuxedo Frenchie named Creed in her spare time if she is not out and about in the community.
