With more than a decade of training and advocacy work in the US and abroad as well as their own Jamaican-American experience, Tiffany brings a global wealth of knowledge to Team Tangible. A firm believer in the power of education and engagement to foster understanding and change, their expertise lies in addressing the intersectionality of various identities as well as the effects of systemic oppression on marginalized communities and ways to mitigate it.
Tiffany is a graduate of the University of Florida and holds an International Masters from the University of Glasgow. Their coursework and research focused on critical race, gender and queer studies. At Tangible Development, Tiffany serves as DEI Strategist, supporting the education and development of skills that create equitable environments.
Prior to joining Team Tangible, Tiffany spent time in various roles from specialist to director positions where they grew their education planning skills while continuing to facilitate programs and workshops on issues of equity, diversity and inclusion and organizational change. One of many notable moments in Tiffany’s career include their time working with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) on the Organizational Equity team to develop and implement professional development trainings for staff on racial justice. As part of that team, they also combated structural barriers to equity for women, people of color, and people who identify as LGBTQ.
In Tiffany’s early career, they were a Fulbright Scholar in the Republic of Moldova, where they worked closely with the Roma National Centre, a human rights resource group, to bring awareness to issues faced by the Roma ethnic community. Through educational presentations around Moldova, Tiffany helped to highlight educational access issues that occur across the country.
When not working, Tiffany enjoys traveling, playing disc golf and creating new memories with loved ones. Conversational in Russian and French, and having lived in different countries, Tiffany loves connecting with people and finding out a little bit more about the world from their perspective.
